Screw Thread calculator which provides all data required to machine and measure screw threads to standard tolerance band selected from a drop-down menu.
ThreadFinder option is included which searches full database by MEASURED DIAMETER for a range of parallel threads and presents choice in order of Pitch and TPI.

The App
This thread calculator provides all data required to machine and measure screw threads to
standard tolerance band which can be selected from a drop-down menu.
​
Select from various threads including ISO metric 'M', the modified metric 'MJ', Unified 'UN', modified Unified 'UNJ',
British Standard Whitworth form ('BSW', 'BSF', 'BSPP' & 'BSPT'), NPT Pipe threads plus others.

Standard sizes are selected at a touch from scrolling list.
Non-Standard threads can be input from keyboard in any Diameter & Pitch/TPI combination.
If you are required to replicate a sample thread of unknown type then the ThreadFinder option will search
complete database of parallel threads and list a range based upon the MEASURED DIAMETER
of that sample component. This selection will be sorted in order of Pitch/TPI.

Limits of EFFECTIVE DIAMETER (PITCH DIAMETER) are displayed in addition to
MEASUREMENT OVER SELECTED WIRE/PIN size. Both are calculated for the selected tolerance band.

If you choose to use the 3 WIRE METHOD of inspection then the software offers the range of acceptable
wire/pin sizes and any available pin which is within that range can be input.

All standard tolerance bands are available from drop-down menu and allowance can be
made for PLATING or coating thickness with the use of a 'Slider' scale adjustment.

Pitch diameter and readings over pins for Internal Threads are provided as 'GO' & 'NO GO' GAUGE
sizes which enables the manufacture of temporary soft gauges if necessary.

Final calculations can be held on screen, saved as a .pdf file or output to WIFI printer if your device
is correctly set up with your printer manufacturers print service software.

Default results are in MILLIMETRES with INCH output as optional selection.

In order to help with sourcing required tooling the app includes a listing of
SUPPLIERS OF THREAD CUTTING TOOLS with link to their website.

Current version includes G, R, Rc, Rp variations of BSP plus Pg CONDUIT/PIPE threads.
American Straight Pipe Threads (NPS), Trapezoidal and ACME options are currently under development.

Can I calculate tolerances for non-standard threads?
Yes, any Diameter and Pitch/TPI combination can be entered at Diameter/Pitch(or TPI)Â selection screens.
Why does cost of app vary between countries?
Our app is charged at basic price plus any charges and local taxes which may be applied in your area.
Can I print out results?
Yes, at the results screen you will be offered a choice of printing out the shown data for direct measurement of Pitch Diameter or go to wire size input screen if the 3 wire method is being used.

Your device will need your printer manufacturer software installed on the device. This should be available in the app store.
What if I'm unable to print directly from device?
In this case, at print screen, select the save as .pdf option. This will save copy in your documents folder and this can be referred to onscreen or e-mailed for remote printing.
Is this app available on Apple iPhone devices?
An Apple iPhone/iPad app is currently under development.
How often are there updates to the App?
The app is updated without charge whenever improvements are made or if another type of thread is added.
